He married Alice Talitha BROWN on 18 Jan 1908 in Clay County, North Carolina. Alice Talitha BROWN was born on 25 Sep 1887 in Clay County, North Carolina and died on 2 Apr 1974 in Towns County, Georgia. James Homer BERRONG and Alice Talitha BROWN had the following children:
A- Carl (born in 1909 and died in 1911. He is buried in Old Shooting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Clay County, NC), B- Geneva Berrong (married Clyde Ashe), C-Eulis Berrong, D-Christabell Berrong (married Fairl Blankenship) , and E- John Robert Berrong (born in 1922 and died in 1944 while in Sicily during World Warl 1I. He is buried in Old Shooting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Clay County, NC)..
4) Icy BERRONG - was born on Sept 6 1888. She married a unknown Patton.
5) Herschel BERRONG was born on 25 Apr 1891 and died on 16 Mar 1976. He is buried in Brasstown Baptist Church Cemetery, Towns County, Georgia. (married late in life, wife unknown, had no children).
6) Finey L. BERRONG was born on 10 Apr 1894 and died about 1970. Married to Cleveland STRONG.
7) Ethel L. BERRONG was born on 23 Mar 1899 and died in Jun 1966. She was married to Preston DWIGHT. Ethel L. Berrong and Preston Dwight had the following children: Mildred and Floyd Dwight.
8) Beulah BERRONG was born on January 3,1902 and died on 2 Feb 1920 in Towns County, Georgia. She is buried in Brasstown Baptist Church Cemetery, Towns County, Georgia.
